Organization
President Grand Chief
This person is elected during the annual provincial assembly of the Native Alliance of Quebec and has a mandate lasting for two years.
Administrative Council
Other than the President Grand Chief, the administrative council is composed of ten (10) people elected by the members for a period of two (2) years. These people are the presidents and vice-presidents of the five (5) administrative regions of the Native Alliance of Quebec.

General management (Provincial office and head office)
The provincial office has the principal mandate to promote and represent the rights and interests of Metis and Natives living off-reserve. These activities are supervised by the President Grand Chief and the orientations are determined by the provincial administrative council. A provincial assembly is held annually and regroups the delegates from the five (5) regions of the Alliance.
Administrative regions and regional offices
- Region 01 : Abitibi - Témiscamingue;
- Region 02 : Outaouais - Pontiac - Gatineau - Labelle;
- Region 03 : Montréal - Trois-Rivières - Estrie - Gaspésie;
- Region 04 : Saguenay - Lac St-Jean - La Tuque - Québec;
- Region 05 : Côte-Nord - Basse-Côte-Nord.
The exectutives of all active communities elect a regional executive composed of a president, a vice-president and a secretary-treasurer. The mandate of the regional executive is to be the relayer of information between the communities and the provincial office. The presidents and vice-presidents of the five (5) regions normally meet twice per year including an annual regional assembly.
The communities
The communities are the corner stone of the NAQ’s structure. The local exective answers to the demands of the members and organizes, on occasion, social or cultural activities. The executive of the community calls an annual general assembly which enables them to make a resume of the past years events and to elect the new committee of the community.
